FORT MYERS: NBC2’s Clay Miller, Craig Wolf and Chris Long were among the participants in the 2nd Annual Rock N’ Jock Charity Golf Tournament at the River Hall golf course in Fort Myers on Saturday.

Sponsored by radio station 99X, the tournament raised money for anysoldier.com. The website primarily works to coordinate sending cards and care packages to American troops overseas along with other charitable efforts for members of the military.

Two of the biggest names at the event had sentimental reasons to take part in the fundraising effort. Scott Stapp, lead singer of the rock band Creed, recently toured the Middle East visiting troops.

His wife, reigning Mrs. Florida America Jaclyn Nesheiwat Stapp, has a sister who was in the military.

The Stapps drove to Fort Myers from their home in Boca Raton for the Rock N’ Jock festivities.

Part of the proceeds from the outing also went to Stapp’s charity. The ‘With Arms Wide Open Foundation’ works to foster healthy parent-child relationships.
