Scott Tweeted the good news on July 4:
God is so good! We praise Him 2day! @3:01 Jaclyn gave birth to Daniel Issam Stapp,a beautiful, healthy baby boy! A true blessing 2be a Father.
He continued on his blog:
Again, I am reminded of how deeply I love, how deeply I respect, how deeply I admire, and how deeply I appreciate, my best friend, my only love, my wife…Jaclyn. She has saved my life and every day shows me the true meaning of life, of love, and of family. This is indeed an amazing day…(-:
We at PBF offer our warmest congratulations to the growing family! All of our best to Scott, Jaclyn, Jagger, Milan, and baby Daniel!
Get ready for summer tour!
Dates have been announced and tickets are on sale now! Creed kicked off their promo by
performing Higher on the Tonight Show. They've already got one show under their belt at the
Charlotte Motor Speedway, where Scott and Mark judged the Pennzoil Ultra Victory Challenge. Get to see them an extra time this summer by
entering the Houston concert flyaway contest!
In other news,
Scott and Jaclyn attended the Expecting Models event in May where
Scott performed WAWO. They also gave us a
tour of their home through news magazine Deco Drive, and we got a
gorgeous family photo. Scott did a
fan Q&A videochat, and finally, a
Voice of America interview from 2009 became available.
Scott's been
working with producer Desmond Child on his upcoming solo album, and has released two b-sides and a remix of Broken! You can download them all for free:
Criminal [
lyrics],
Somber [
lyrics], and
Broken featuring Ma$e. Make sure you check out these awesome songs! Also, Scott has two new blogs on
Blogspot and
Wordpress.
And last week, Scott teamed up with the Florida Marlins to perform both the
National Anthem and pen a Marlins theme song,
Marlins Will Soar. Check out the
pics!
Creed is gearing up for their summer tour - they've got shows scheduled in
Charlotte, NC;
St. Augustine, FL; and
Fort McCoy, WI with special guest Sammy Hagar. Keep an eye on
Creed.com's tour page for more dates coming soon!
Immediately after
returning from Haiti, Scott was very busy for Super Bowl week - starting with his
plans for the game,
GQ's pre-game party, and then
fundraisers for Rock N Soul and
Saturday Night Spectacular.
That didn't stop him from talking to
Ultimate Guitar or
Spokane's Rock 94.5 about how his life has changed, or from
enjoying the Harlem Globetrotters with his family! A family that's soon to include
a little boy, to be
named Daniel, after Jaclyn's brother.
In Creed news, there's a new
video for A Thousand Faces. And on May 22, Creed will be
playing a full-length concert for the Sprint All-Star Race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Tickets start at $39, so check it out, Carolina peeps!
Many of us, including the members of Creed, have been moved by the crisis in Haiti and contributed to the cause. Scott has taken it a step further, traveling with his brother- and sister-in-law to Haiti to personally assist the people in recovering from the devastating earthquake. If you
follow Scott on Twitter, you've seen his updates about their efforts. They're working with
Plane to Haiti, which shipped in 10,000 pounds of supplies, and interfacing with several other missions and organizations while on the ground. The
official press release talks about the Plane to Haiti mission, and you can see Scott's
photos and a
video about the work being accomplished.
We're very proud of the work Scott is doing, and are working on a way that we at PBF can contribute to the relief efforts as well! We will update with information as soon as plans are finalized - or, go to
planetohaiti.org and donate there!
